You need hope.
We can get there together.
My Approach
Have you felt hopeless watching your child’s anxiety spiral out of control? I help families who are thinking, “I don’t know what else to do” and feeling stuck, even if therapy hasn’t helped before.
The good news is: there’s a reason those old strategies haven’t worked. They were built to soothe anxiety, not change it.
In therapy, we work together — you, your child, and me — to understand how anxiety works and how to respond differently. I teach kids how to face fear step-by-step and help parents learn when to support and when to step back, so anxiety loses its power over the whole family.
It’s incredible to watch a child go from saying “I can’t” to “I did it, even though I was scared.” That’s the shift we’re after — less fear, more confidence, and a calmer home for everyone.
If you’re into the nitty-gritty techniques, I have formal training in pediatric Exposure-Response Prevention (ERP), CBT for anxiety, play therapy for anxiety, I-CBT (OCD treatment particularly useful for those not ready for exposure therapy), and SPACE treatment for parents.
Therapy for YOU
I received a Certificate in Multicultural & Social Justice Counseling and am passionate about working with the LGBTQ+ community and other historically marginalized identities. As a member of the LGBTQ+ community myself, I understand how identity can intertwine with every aspect of life, and I make sure to understand your unique story in order to best serve you in counseling.
I am committed to offering counseling services that involve and embrace all of the differences that each person brings to the room. I know that our identities influence our experiences and can affect how we live day-to-day.
Race, ability, gender, sexual orientation, socio-economic status, and religion are all topics that come up in counseling because they are a part of us. I will work together with you to understand you and your lived experience.
